2017年11月30日（木）に、香港インターンシップ参加者の帰国報告会を開催しました。今年度は8月20日(日)～8月28日(月)に渡航しインターンシップが実施され、参加学生5名（農学系サブコース4名、水産学系サブコース1名）が、農学部長・特別コース担当教員・特別コース所属学生、ならびに鹿児島県の担当者の前で、インターンシップを通じて、学んだこと・考えたことをそれぞれに発表しました。「海外で働くこと」が単なる憧れではなく、食文化や生活習慣、言葉が異なる海外で生活しながら働くことの厳しさも、身をもって感じ、海外で生活し仕事をすることを具体的にイメージできたようでした。また、海外に行くことで日本や鹿児島の文化についてもっと知りたいと感じたと話していました。今年は2度の台風に見舞われ、帰国が1日遅れるなどのハプニングもあったものの、学生には今後の糧になったことと思います。インターンシップの機会を与えてくださった関係者の皆様に心より感謝申し上げます。ありがとうございました。

A debriefing session regarding the Internship program in Hong Kong was held on November 30th, 2017. This year, the program was held between 20th and 28th August 2017 and five participants (4 students of Agriculture-based sub-course and 1 student of Fisheries based sub-course) presented their precious experiences in Hong Kong to the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, the faculty members and students of the Special Course and the representatives of Kagoshima prefectural government, using Power Point slides. They used to have a vague dream that they wanted to work abroad, but the internship experience in Hong Kong allowed them to have a concrete image of living and working in a foreign country where the food, living style and language are different. One of them mentioned that she would like to learn more about Japan as well as Kagoshima, interms of culture and traditions. This experience including delaying on their return flight by one day due to the typhoon which hit Hongkong, will surely prepare the students for making their career decisions in the future. We really appreciate those who have contributed a lot to the execution of this wonderful internship program.
