Graduation Project

In this program, students undertake a “Graduation Project” in their fourth year.
This project may include graduation research under the guidance of a supervisor from the Faculty of Agriculture or the Faculty of Fisheries, short-term study abroad to investigate agricultural and fisheries industries overseas, or practical training at international organizations. Supervisors for the Graduation Project are determined at the end of the second year.

Flow of Graduation Project Selection and Supervisor Assignment

  • First Semester of Second Year
    • A briefing session about supervisors and lab allocation is held.
    • Students receive a list of available supervisors.
    • Students visit faculty members conducting research of interest to learn about specific research activities.
    • Students consult related parties concerning the subjects to be taken in the second semester and beyond.
  • Second Semester of Second Year
    • Students submit their preferences for supervisors (labs). (If there are more applicants than seats, a selection process will be conducted.)
    • Assigned supervisors are decided and announced.
  • Third Year
    • Students take recommended courses and earn credits in preparation for their Graduation Project.
    • Students participate in seminars conducted by their supervisors and begin preparations for the project.
