Course Introduction

 The cultivation of crops and horticultural products are, and will continue to be, fundamental to human survival and prosperity. The main educational and research fields of study in the Applied Plant Production Course are in southern Kyushu in a major agricultural production zone. Our research focuses on diverse cultivation technology, pest and disease control and the genetic improvement of plants. In addition, we conduct research in a variety of agricultural issues linked to environmental changes associated with global warming. The educational mission of this course is to educate students who can play an active role on a global scale as well as within local events.
